Special Notice To Readers

This newsletter is the second in a series of newsletters being written and published by the Gentle Wind School. We are a group of researchers who inadvertently discovered that the most serious forms of irreparable, psychological harm that have been done to people in American society were done to them in schools. These newsletters contain a few simple statements about what we have discovered and what we, as researchers, understand to be true with regard to the current educational system.

These newsletters have been written in natural sequential order. This means that the information contained here in Volume 1, Number 2 logically follows the information contained in Volume 1, Number 1. Educators refuse to give information in a logical, natural order. Children are forced, under conditions of psychological duress, to memorize huge quantities of unrelated facts which have no basis in everyday reality. School subjects are contrived by removing certain information from its natural context and presenting it to children as fragmented data bits floating in space.

In this system, education disconnects children from what can best be described as natural, logical occurrence. Natural, logical occurrence refers to the fact that life exists on a natural continuum where one event, idea, or situation logically follows and is connected to the preceding event. Everything is connected to everything else. Life is not a series of fragmented, isolated data bits, as modern education has taught people to believe.

For example, in a system of natural logical occurrence, a child would only learn about linear measurement systems (inches, feet, etc) while constructing something that the child either needed or wanted which required measuring. That is the way life works. On the other hand, educational institutions remove the measuring from the construction job thereby destroying the child's connection between measuring and the only real practical value it would have to the child's own personal life. That is the way real life works.

These newsletters are written on a continuum, just like life. They are not a series of fragmented data bits. These newsletters should be read in their natural, logical order. What is contained in this newsletter will only make sense if you have read the first newsletter. Therefore, if you have not read the first newsletter, STOP RIGHT HERE, and call or write the Gentle Wind School and request a copy of Number 1. In doing so, your personal system of natural, logical occurrence will be preserved. There is no charge for Number 1, or any of the newsletters for that matter, although donations are needed and welcomed.

If you absolutely must read this newsletter right now; and a stampeding herd of wild horses could not hold you back, then go ahead. But call or write the Gentle Wind School and get a copy of number 1. Read number 1 and then go back and read number 2 again, so that this information can be received on a continuum. Baffling Question for "Educators"
  1. How is it possible for a child to learn to read at home without being GRADED, GROUPED and "DIAGNOSED" and without the aid of "high tech" teaching materials in less than half the time it takes in school?

  1. Don't know. Not covered in my Doctoral work.
  2. Can't think now. Must grade, group, test, punish, discipline and monitor the lavatory and detention room this month.

  6. My Superintendent says question unimportant.
  7. Because of NATIONAL SECURITY President denies having ever supported the situation.
  8. Sorry, but I've been instructed to only answer questions posed by Ph.D.'s and police with search warrants.
  9. Can't be bothered with details. Must invent new tests and class room situtations to expose the deficienceies we know the students are hiding.
